McCain Belittles Own Press Corps
It’s a bad idea to attack your own press pool. And that’s exactly what McCain has done.
As the McCain campaign continued to whine about press coverage yesterday, today, they put on ‘joke’ on his traveling press team. The only problem? Just like McCain’s other ‘jokes,’ the crowd wasn’t laughing.
The McCain campaign paid for luggage tags to be put on all of the bags belonging to the journalists who are following them. The tags read (from MSNBC): “McCain Press Corps, “JV Squad,” Left Behind to Report in America.” On the back, they put some non-sensible picture of France as well.
Calling his reporters the “JV Squad” isn’t going to give him a lot of brownie points with journalists who wants to be soft on him.
