National Gallup Poll Results
If the presidential election were held right now, according to a recent Gallup Poll, New York Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton would be running nearly neck and neck with former Gotham Mayor Rudy Giuliani. But as we all know, there are those pesky primaries to contend with and in the Democratic Primary Clinton leads Illinois Senator Barack Obama with 47% to his paltry 19%. Which begs another question, will Clinton choose Obama as her running mate? Hmm– probably not because the two candidates are now regularly slinging foreign policy mud in eachother’s direction. John Edwards is a better bet as a running mate. Meanwhile on the Republican side, Rudy Giuliani leads with 30% of the vote to actor and former Tennessee Senator Fred Thompson’s 19%. It seems in the Republican camp there isn’t much to choose from — either we get a philanderer, or an actor with a social climbing wife who has a questionable past and unpaid bills (judgements that is.)
