Racing fun outside of Washington
So this past Friday I was feeling a little Shirley Cha-Cha Muldowney and needed to eliminate some stress without getting a speeding ticket (or arrested) like Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie. I headed over to Chevrolet’s Rev it Up event at Fed-Ex field in Landover, MD (Redskins stadium.) When I arrived to my delight novice drivers were already heating up the race track in a mock Grand Prix. The Rev it up event gave car lovers like myself a chance to learn about all things car-ish and even gave participants the opportunity to ride in a brand new 505 horsepower Corvette Z06. Yeah baby it just doesn’t get any better than that.
Chevy even gave away a free vehicle to the person who drove the best and made the best time on a very intricate obstacle course. Ron Fellows a legendary Corvette racer with wins at NASCAR was on hand for the event. The best part… driving a brand high performance vehicle at top speed — without getting pulled over by the Po Po (police.)
