Thompson No GOP Golden Boy
Well folks, the social conservatives have had their say. Results from a straw poll show Fred Thompson is not quite the savior of the GOP we thought he might be (and he thought he was) its none other than Mitt Romney with Mike Huckabee hot on Romney’s tail.
What could it be about Thompson and others including Rudy Giuliani that the respondents rejected. Perhaps it was Thompson’s new to the junior league, former common law wife (to someone else) Jerri Khen or maybe Giuliani is just a little too progressive a philanderer to be on a GOP presidential ticket.
Who knows with these wacky social conservatives.
