Where Will He Be?
For the past week or so, speculation has been abound about where Barack Obama would be on the night of May 20th. Why was there this speculation?
Based on most predictions, this coming Tuesday, with the Oregon and Kentucky primaries, Barack Obama will likely take the official point of no return lead in the pledged delegates. As of right now, Clinton would need something like 90% or so of the remaining pledged delegates to take over a lead. While that is impossible, on Tuesday, it will be officially impossible.
With that, the speculation has come as many have said that Obama would not give his victory speech in Oregon or Kentucky. Instead, he’d pick a more special place, like a swing state. Could it be Ohio? Perhaps Florida?
Today we have our answer:
Des Moines, Iowa.
Where it all began…
Giving a speech in Iowa, which is a red swing state, is mostly symbolic. It aims to say, this is what started this whole Obama revolution of change.
Funny…doesn’t it seem like Iowa happened ages ago?
