Worst Political Ads: Tom Tancredo and Fear Mongering
In our continuing series of a look back at the videos of the 2008 campaign, we’ve come across some of the worst videos and ads of the season.
Well, Tom Tancredo may just have the winner. Tancredo, a man who says water boarding is just fine and that we should help destroy Islam because they want to destroy us, is perhaps most famous for his anti-immigrant stand.
Watching his only ad is reminiscent of George Wallace’s anti-African ads in the 1960s.
Here, Tancredo essentially warns, “Close your windows, lock your doors, the Latinos are coming!”
It’s just a sad, pathetic, and disgusting ad. Tancredo and the Republicans should be ashamed on this one.
